Abrasives, lengthening the length of abrasive brush filaments, etc., although the problem is solved on the surface, it brings more new problems. 1. Thickening the diameter of abrasive brush wire (1) The user's intention is obvious. Thickening the wire diameter is to increase the hardness and enhance the cutting force. However, for a real high-quality abrasive wire, hardness and flexibility can achieve a perfect balance: the appropriate hardness makes the product have good rigidity, and the workpiece is well contacted and abraded; the appropriate flexibility makes the brush have good resilience , Which not only guarantees the machining accuracy of the workpiece surface, but also reduces the wear and internal stress in the brush grinding operation, thereby increasing the service life of the brush without breaking the wire. (2) Tests have shown that when all the conditions are the same but the wire diameter is different, the abrasion of 14mil is twice that of 12mil abrasive brush wire. The main problems caused by the thicker wire diameter are: the density of the abrasive brush wire decreases, the fatigue resistance is reduced, the wear is faster, the service life is shorter, the grinding stress is increased, and the wire is more likely to break. (3) What is correct is that the wire diameter should be as thin as possible under the premise that the hardness of the brush can meet the process requirements. 2. Lengthening the length of the abrasive brush filaments Users feel that the scrapped brushes are because the bristles are worn short. If the abrasive brush filaments are lengthened, the softness will be better and the durability should be longer and better. This made a major mistake! The bristles are lengthened. The abrasive brush filaments are not working on the cut surface, but the side of the abrasive brush filaments are working. What's more, the swing range (angle) of each filament is greatly increased (see Figure 1), at 800-2500 speed /Min, the internal stress and fatigue coefficient of the abrasive brush filament base increase exponentially, causing the abrasive brush filament to break easily and the filaments are obviously deformed. Note: When the correct length of the abrasive brush filament is 8CM, the swing amplitude of the abrasive brush filament is about 25 degrees, and the length of the abrasive brush is about 1 cm, and the angle is increased by about 10 degrees. The internal stress and fatigue coefficient of the base of the abrasive brush will increase exponentially. Brush filament material technology exploration Brush filament has good abrasion resistance, high temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, etc., but the elasticity of 610 is not very good, and it is easy to deform and difficult to recover after long-term work. Therefore, 610 is suitable for industrial dust removal and cleaning. PBT has better elasticity than 610, but its wear resistance is not as good as 610. PBT has softer performance and is most suitable for cleaning and decontamination of fine parts, such as car surfaces.
