The grinding brush rolls used in the PCB manufacturing process can be divided into two categories according to their functions, namely grinding brush rolls and cleaning brush rolls, while grinding brush rolls account for the vast majority, and cleaning brush rolls are only cleaned or ground after the finished product. For cleaning, the number is relatively small, so they are collectively referred to as grinding brush rollers. According to the materials used, the grinding brush rollers are divided into three categories: nylon needle brush rollers, non-woven brush rollers and ceramic brush rollers, which have their own characteristics in use. Nylon needle brush roller has a long history as a brush roller used in PCB manufacturing industry. According to different manufacturing processes, it is divided into five types: steel tape winding type, braided type, slotted embedded type, round hole embedded type and rubber plate embedded type. Among them, the three manufacturing processes of steel belt winding, weaving and round hole embedded can control the silk density of nylon needle brush and the uniformity of nylon needle brush, so it can meet the different needs of various customers. Nylon needle brush rollers are divided into silicon carbide (SIC) abrasives, alumina (ALO) abrasives and pure nylon according to the different abrasives contained in the nylon needle brush filaments. Whether it is carbide or alumina abrasives, the particle size distribution range is 25 #---1500#. Nylon needle brush rollers are characterized by long service life and moderate grinding effect. Non-woven brush rollers are a type of brush rollers that were selected later in the PCB manufacturing industry. According to different manufacturing processes, they are divided into three types: Flap type, Disk type and Sponge type. Radial (Flap type) and disc (Disk type), due to the different matching of materials, density and processing technology, can meet the different needs of various customers. The introduction of ceramic brush rollers into PCB manufacturing industry is a new trend in the industry in recent years. This type of brush roller is especially suitable for plugging ink removal and PTH post-treatment. However, due to its high cost and non-woven brush rollers, a similar function has been developed. The market share of brush rolls and ceramic brush rolls will not be further expanded until the cost of such brush rolls is further reduced.
