historic t.s. simms factory to be demolished in new year

The Simms corner of West St. John will soon lose the building of the same name. The historic T. S. Simms& Co.
It is planned to dismantle the limited paint brush factory in the new year.

Simmshad had previously announced that it would lose the company\'s manufacturing arm, which opened on its current website in 1912.

The square metre warehouse, which is located behind the factory, has been vacant and will be demolished in the next four weeks due to safety concerns, she said.

Keith said there is no immediate plan to build a new building on the site. Although T. S.
Simmsis closed the plant and it will keep its headquarters in St. John as it has been since 1872.
The only shareholder of the company is Thomas.

In 1872, the new company was attracted to move to the busy port city of St. John.
