I recently started fiddling with watercolors and read the water brush you used with standard dry paint --cake-in-a-box.
Instead of soaking the brush in a clean water tank to get it wet, getting the paint from the paint cake, you squeeze the bucket of the brush.
Instead of cleaning now.
The dirty brush in the dirty water tank, you squeeze the bucket to get more water coming out of the brush and scribble on the waste paper until it becomes clear. GENIUS!
This is most useful for people who draw watercolors outside, as you don\'t have to carry a can of water with you.
I just like the idea of a water brush because I\'m lazy.
I found a water brush at the art store today but they are not there.
Later I happened to be with my sister who had some in the children\'s art section for $5 and $4. (
This is cheaper than the $6 fee I paid online. I\'m also cheap. )
The problem is: they have been filled with colors!
Special note: This note is mainly about saying \"Hey, look, cheap alternatives\" and showing pictures of the inside doohickeys of this water brush.
The steps are as follows: 1)take apart; 2)
Pour out the color and rinse it clean; 3)
Full of water.
There is no strong challenge.
This brand is a pain killer for Elmer.
What a terrible name it is for a child.
Fortunately, I noticed some sort of gap between colors (
Looks like food coloring)
And brush head.
This means that these tips are still not affected by the color.
A sinister plot was planned. (
There are other brands as well, but these are the cheapest and I didn\'t know at the time if it was possible for me to plan. )
Actually, these are pretty good.
The size of the water brush is good and you don\'t need to squeeze the hardness in order for the water to flow.
They also don\'t drool very often.
I took them home and took them apart on the sink.
Screw off the brush head, color-
Half of the pen has a blue stopper doohickey attached to a tube with a white stopper on the other end.
I don\'t know how it works.
You can put your nails under the edge of the blue plug and pull out the tube assembly.
The other end of the blue plug is the white plug.
Take it out and rinse everything clean.
Half of the reservoir is actually colored plastic and I don\'t know about the first pen I \"converted.
\"I \'ve been flushing, wondering why the color --
No water came out.
I felt very smart when I realized that half of the reservoir was colored plastic.
Just rinse until the water is clear (
There\'s a white sink here. .
If there are still a few drops left, it doesn\'t matter;
Anyway, you have to squeeze the pen and run the water through everything.
I will skip the picture in order to reverse the steps.
Put the white hat back in blue
Top-capped tube, fill the reservoir, put the Blue
Put the tube back in place.
Screw back the brush head.
Squeeze the barrel a little, squeeze it to get any residual color from the work (
You can see the original yellow tip in the photo). Voila! $1 waterbrush.
This is very good for a super player
The cheap brush, the squeezed part is back where you hold it.
I think there may be a different feeling for real watercolors, but I think it\'s a very good watercolors, especially from the beginning.
I think this experiment is a success!
Thank you for reading and appreciating your paintings!
Your friend El rey thanks SeamusDubh for the reminder/idea: you can replace the water with ink when you fill it up!
I used Higgins black magic ink and a dropper cover.
The water flow was a little dry, but wet the team with a gentle squeeze.
