how to paint a room

2019-08-29
It can take hours, half a day or more to paint the room.
It all depends on what you decide to draw and how much.
You can give the door or cabinet a new paint in a few hours to refresh the room.
Or you can divide it into smaller jobs and allocate it for a week or more.
No matter how big the work you decide to deal with, the painting skills are the same.
In this article we will take you all the way to draw the room.
We all have this job from preparation to cleaning. -and your room --covered.
We will start with the first party to discuss how you should use your painting equipment.
When you work in interior painting, you will soon find out how easy it is to be proficient in using brushes and rollers.
Even so, there are techniques that can help delay fatigue and provide a cleaner job.
The grip you use depends on the brush you choose.
The trim and window frame brush with pencil handle is caught like a pencil, with the thumb and the first two fingers of the hand.
This technique allows you to have good control over complex paintings. With beaver-
The tail handle on the larger brush, because the brush is wider and heavier, you need a stronger grip.
Hold the handle with the whole hand and let the handle cross the width of the Palm as if you were holding the tennis racket.
This technique works best when you draw a large and flat surface.
The goal of loading the brush is to paint as much as possible on the wall, instead of filling it with the floor and yourself in the process.
It takes you only a few minutes to accurately measure how much paint your brush can hold on the road.
At the same time, start the work by suppressing the bristles of the brush (
Proper thinner for latex water or other types of paint)
Make them more efficient.
Tap the metal band around the bottom of the handle gently, lean against the edge of the palm, and place it in a sink or bucket to remove excess moisture.
During the first soak, move the brush a little in the paint, open the bristles and let the brush fully fill.
If you dip the brush gently into the paint every time, it is easier to pick up the full load brush.
For most latex paints, before moving the brush to the wall, you can simply dip the brush and let the extra parts drop down for a few seconds.
For a thinner coating, however, you may have to pat the brush gently on the inside of the paint, or gently drag it to the inside edge of the lips to remove the excess paint.
To neatly draw lines that intersect two sides or colors, called \"cut-in\", use a decorative brush with a beveled bristles (
The end of the brush is like a chisel).
Draw five to six strokes perpendicular to the ceiling or wall edge.
Next, smooth these strokes with a very long stroke, draw them from the corner first, then draw them vertically.
When the wall and ceiling are combined, first use the downward stroke on the wall, and then use a smooth horizontal stroke.
On the ceiling, cut along the center of the room, away from the wall, with strokes.
Then draw a smooth horizontal stroke in the direction of the wall on the ceiling.
Even if you use paint of the same color on adjacent surfaces, follow this with 2-inch-
Wide border instead of putting the loaded brush directly in the corner.
This will prevent dripping water, sagging and running.
Another cut
In the method, the bead finish can actually eliminate the need to use masking tape to protect one painting area from another.
Use the beveled Trim brush with beautiful long bristles.
Hold the brush so that your thumb is on one side of the metal sleeve and your finger is on the other side.
Gently press the brush on the surface, and then, when you move the brush, add enough pressure to keep the bristles bent away from your stroke direction.
Keep the brush about 1/16 away from other colored surfaces.
The curved bristles and pressure release a paint that is scattered in the gap.
With these two cutting methods, but especially when you are dealing with both colors, it is better to have a brush that is too dry rather than a brush that is too wet.
This is a detail job.
To do this effectively, take your time and cut 4 to 5 inch at a time.
It looks tedious at first, but your speed and accuracy will improve with practice, even a normal-
Room size will give you a lot of practice.
Compared to working with a brush, the curlers working with the drum are less stringent.
Even a novice painter can feel it in a few minutes.
Just like a brush, wet the roller with water first and use it as a proper thinner for latex paint or other types of paint.
Place excess moisture on a piece of scrap wood or kraft paper or even on paper grocery bags.
Do not use the newspaper as the drum may pick up the ink.
Fill the well of the roller tray about half and place the roller tray in the middle of the well.
Lift the roller and roll it off the slope of the pan and stop by the well.
Do this two or three times and get the paint into the drum.
Then, immerse the roller in the well again and roll on the slope until the pile is fully saturated.
You will know immediately when you overload the roller.
It drops down on the road to the wall and has a tendency to slide and apply, rather than rolling to the surface.
The most effective way to paint with a drum is 2-or 3-square-
A walking area.
Rolling the paint in a zigzag pattern without lifting the roller from the wall, as if you were painting a large M, W or backward N
Then, still not lift the roller, fill the blank of the letters with more horizontal or vertical zigzag strokes.
Complete the area with a slight stroke that has never painted the area and rolls to the paint.
At the end of the trip, lift the roller slowly so that it does not leave traces.
Go to the next undrawn area, repeat the glyph technique, and end under or next to the first painted patch.
Finally, smooth the new application and mix it into the previously completed area.
Professional painters also recommend starting with a roller away from you.
On the wall, this means that the first stroke should be up.
If you scroll down on the first stroke, the paint may dip in the puddle under the roller and then roll down the wall.
Also, be careful not to pass the rollers through the walls so quickly that the centrifugal force can cause the rollers to spray.
If you have a large interior painting job, it is better to use an airless sprayer.
In the next section, we will learn about airless sprayers and how to use them safely.
