1. Nylon At present, the common nylons used for nylon filaments containing abrasives are: nylon 612 and nylon 1010. Features: a. Excellent bending recovery ability; b. Low moisture absorption; c. High hardness in a humid environment; d. Wear resistance. 2. Abrasives containing abrasive nylon filaments are mostly silicon carbide SiC and alumina Al2O3. The abrasive particles are cubic. The particle size ranges from 46 mesh to 600 mesh. Alumina is less prone to fracture than silicon carbide, and is often used to trim softer metals. In silicon carbide abrasives, the iron aluminide content is less than 0.1% and does not contain iron. Therefore, brushes made of silicon carbide can be safely used on aluminum products without corrosion caused by iron contamination. Generally speaking, silicon carbide wire is harder and more durable than alumina wire. 3. Nylon filaments containing abrasives Stir nylon, abrasives and a small amount of additives in the extruder evenly, and draw out various nylon filaments containing abrasives. The abrasive content is generally 20%, 30%. Commonly used varieties of abrasive nylon yarn: 0.3×600# (Al2O3), 0.45×500# (Al2O3), 0.55×320# (SiC), 0.55×120# (SiC), 0.75×240# (SiC), 0.88× 180#(SiC), 1.0×120#(SiC). 4. The influence of environment on abrasive nylon yarn a. The temperature hardness is twice higher at 0℃ than at room temperature, and the temperature is high and the hardness is low. Abrasive nylon filaments are harder at low temperatures and will not become brittle. Therefore, the temperature should be minimized during use. The temperature is minimized by controlling the brushing speed and pressure, using water or oil coolant and other methods. b. Humidity Humidity has varying degrees of influence on the hardness and rigidity of the abrasive nylon yarn. Choose nylon 612, and the humidity change has the least influence on it.
